Pakistani Spy Arrested in Jaisalmer for Selling Indian Army Secrets to ISI

Jaisalmer, Jan 31:
In a major breakthrough for Indian intelligence agencies, a Pakistani spy has been arrested in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district for allegedly leaking sensitive information related to the Indian Army to Pakistan’s intelligence agency, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), in exchange for money.

The accused, identified as Jhabraram (28), a resident of Sankda village in Pokaran, was arrested on January 30 by the Rajasthan Intelligence Department. Investigations have revealed that he had been actively involved in espionage activities for the past one-and-a-half years, during which he shared classified military information with ISI handlers.

According to intelligence officials, Jhabraram was honey-trapped and lured by financial incentives to betray the nation. He allegedly received payments ranging from ₹5,000 to ₹10,000 per task, which were transferred to his bank account after he provided information related to Army movements, locations, and activities in sensitive border areas.

Officials said that crucial digital evidence, including mobile chat records, instructions from ISI handlers, and transaction details, have been recovered from the accused’s phone. He also allegedly shared the OTP of his SIM card with ISI operatives to activate WhatsApp accounts used for anti-national activities.

The accused was produced before a court in Jaisalmer on Saturday afternoon, which granted the intelligence agency five days of police remand for further interrogation.

Prabhu Kumar, ADG (Intelligence), Rajasthan, stated that the accused was in continuous contact with Pakistani intelligence operatives through social media platforms and was actively involved in activities threatening national security.

Intelligence agencies believe that further interrogation may expose a larger espionage network, including details of other ISI handlers and the extent of classified information compromised. Investigations are ongoing.
