
Patna, Bihar: In a significant move aimed at boosting employment and infrastructure in the state, the Bihar Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, approved 41 proposals in its recent meeting. The key decisions include the creation of hundreds of new posts in the agriculture and education departments, as well as the construction of a new Bihar Bhavan in Mumbai with a budget of ₹314.21 crore.
The Cabinet’s focus was on creating opportunities for Bihar’s youth by strengthening government services and administrative structures. Various new appointments and departmental reorganizations are expected to open pathways for young professionals across the state.
Major Boost for Agriculture:
To strengthen the agriculture sector, the government approved the creation of 534 posts in various categories along with 160 posts for Plant Protection Inspectors. These 694 positions are expected not only to enhance agricultural operations but also provide permanent employment opportunities for the youth.
Bihar Bhavan in Mumbai:
The state government has sanctioned the construction of a Bihar Bhavan in Mumbai, Maharashtra’s capital. With an approved budget of ₹314.21 crore, the building will serve as a hub for Bihar residents visiting the city and facilitate administrative functions for the state government in Maharashtra.
Strengthening Education and Administration:
The Cabinet also approved the creation of nine new posts at the Directorate of Public Education, aiming to strengthen administrative mechanisms and ensure the effective implementation of key government initiatives like the ‘Saat Nishchay’ (Seven Resolves) scheme.
With these initiatives, the Nitish government intends to accelerate development across sectors, provide stable employment to the youth, and enhance administrative efficiency, marking a major step forward in Bihar’s growth trajectory.
