
Dhar, Madhya Pradesh: A shocking incident unfolded at a private examination center in Dhar district during the ongoing 10th board examinations, when a female student gave birth in the washroom. The minor, whose family was unaware of her pregnancy, was immediately admitted to the Community Health Center. Police have registered a case, and an investigation is underway.
Sudden Labor During Exam
The student was appearing for her mathematics paper when she suddenly experienced severe abdominal pain. She proceeded to the washroom, where she delivered a baby. Emergency services (108 Ambulance) were called, and both the student and the newborn were taken to the Community Health Center. The incident occurred at a private school in Housing Board Colony, under Sector-1 police station jurisdiction.
Relationship With an Older Youth
The minor revealed to authorities that she had been in contact with a young man for the past two years and had developed a relationship with him. During this time, she became pregnant. Based on her statement, the police have registered a case against the youth, identified as Kanha Barman, and the matter has been referred to the relevant police station for further investigation.
Health Update
Speaking to the media, doctors confirmed that both the student and the newborn are healthy and under observation.
Exam Disruption
According to witnesses, the student did not return from the washroom for approximately 15 minutes during her mathematics exam. A female staff member then went to check and found that she had delivered the baby. The student is a resident of Betma police station area.
Police Investigation Ongoing
The police are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the minor’s pregnancy and the delivery, while ensuring both mother and child are safe.
