Bengaluru, Jan 31:
Karnataka Industries Minister M B Patil on Saturday said that the state government held bilateral engagements with 46 global and Indian companies, investors, academic institutions and international leaders during the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, though no Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) were signed.
Addressing a press conference in Bengaluru, Patil said the discussions focused on investment intentions, sectoral opportunities and future collaborations, rather than immediate formal agreements.
“We held 46 bilateral engagements with global and Indian companies, investors, academic institutions and country leaderships at the World Economic Forum in Davos. These meetings were aimed at exploring long-term investment prospects in Karnataka,” he said.
The minister clarified that while no MoUs were finalised during the event, the talks laid the groundwork for potential investments and strategic partnerships in the coming months.
Patil added that Karnataka showcased its strengths in key sectors including manufacturing, renewable energy, technology, and innovation, and expressed confidence that the engagements would translate into concrete proposals in the near future.
