Holi Travel Alert: Six Special Trains to Rajasthan to Ease Festive Rush

Jaipur, 25 February 2026: With Holi around the corner, Indian Railways has announced the operation of six special trains to Rajasthan to manage the expected surge of passengers. The additional services will run on routes from Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana, ensuring smoother travel during the festive period.

Special Train Schedule for Rajasthan
North Western Railway has confirmed that the following trains will operate during Holi:

Extended Operations for Key Routes
The Rewari–Ringas–Rewari special trains (09633/09634 and 09637/09638) will run multiple trips throughout March 2026 on selected dates, while the Jaipur–Bhiwani–Jaipur special (09733/09734) will operate daily from 1 March to 31 March 2026 in both directions. Railway officials confirmed that the timings and halts of these trains remain unchanged.

Mumbai and Jodhpur Routes
Three additional AC special trains have been scheduled to handle passenger demand on the Mumbai and Jodhpur routes. For instance:

  • Train 04212 will depart Sultanpur on 26 February and 2 March at 4:00 AM, arriving at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, Mumbai, the next day at 12:20 PM. The return service, 04211, will operate on 27 February and 3 March.
  • Train 04226 will run from Varanasi on 25 February and 1 March, while 04225 will handle the return journey on 26 February and 2 March.
  • The Jodhpur–Gorakhpur Holi Special (04829) will depart Jodhpur on 5, 12, 19, and 26 March at 4:15 PM, reaching Gorakhpur at 8:50 PM the following day. The return service (04830) will operate on 6, 13, 20, and 27 March, with stops at major stations including Khalilabad, Basti, Mankapur, Ayodhya Dham, Bareilly, Moradabad, Ghaziabad, Delhi, Gurgaon, and Rewari.

Passenger Convenience
The special trains will include AC Second, AC Third, Sleeper, and General class coaches. Railway authorities expect these additional services to significantly ease the passenger load during the Holi festival and provide a comfortable travel experience.
