
Dausa, Rajasthan: The Bandikui Urban Improvement Trust (UIT) has officially launched its first residential housing project in Dausa district. The “Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar” scheme, developed over 46.62 hectares near Khedli village, will feature 303 residential plots along with parks, a stadium, commercial zones, and green belts.
The project was inaugurated jointly by Urban Development Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra and Agriculture Minister Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena. The initiative aims to address the growing demand for housing in the district while promoting planned and organized urban development.

Master Plan and Facilities
The residential colony will feature a 60-meter wide main road, with internal roads measuring 24m, 18m, 12m, and 9m. A total of 18,657.19 sq. meters is allocated for community facilities, while 15,589.06 sq. meters is reserved for parks and green areas.
Urban Development Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra noted that in addition to residential plots, the plan includes areas for commercial use, a sports stadium, and environmental green belts. He emphasized that the project will benefit both residents of Dausa district and neighboring areas seeking modern housing facilities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a native resident of Rajasthan
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Annual family income: Not exceeding ₹20 lakh
Application Process
The application process for plots in Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Nagar began on 6 February 2026 and will continue until 25 March 2026. The non-refundable application fee is ₹1,000, and plots are available at a reserved rate of ₹13,500 per sq. meter.
The UIT expects the scheme to foster planned urban development in Dausa while providing residents with modern housing and amenities. Agriculture Minister Dr. Kirodi Lal Meena highlighted that the project has been designed keeping citizens’ needs in mind, ensuring well-organized urban growth in the region.
