Patna, January 14, 2026: Bihar Minister Dilip Jaiswal has stirred political debate with his sharp remarks against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, claiming that it takes Gandhi a decade to comprehend even basic issues.
Speaking on a range of topics including Bihar’s industrial development, small and textile industries, national security, and current political developments, Jaiswal highlighted the challenges facing local entrepreneurs. He noted that about 58 small units in the Chanpatia region are struggling with financial and marketing difficulties. The minister emphasized that the government is taking steps to support these units, aiming to strengthen local artisans and businesses.
Commenting on national security, Jaiswal criticized Pakistan for continuing anti-India activities and said that India’s military and security forces remain fully alert and capable of responding to any threat.
On political developments, Jaiswal referred to Tej Pratap Yadav’s recent ‘Chura-Dahi’ feast as a message of goodwill, noting that Hindu traditions emphasize brotherhood and harmony. He added that politics should uphold healthy traditions and not become a platform for personal enmity.
Jaiswal also targeted Rahul Gandhi, remarking with sarcasm that the 57-year-old leader, despite being considered a youth in political terms, took around 20 years to understand serious issues like China. He added, “Rahul Gandhi takes about 10 years to grasp any matter and is yet to fully mature politically.”
The minister’s comments have sparked reactions across political circles in Bihar, with debates intensifying over the criticism of a national opposition leader.
