Madhuri Dixit Steals the Spotlight in ₹86,500 Saree, Outshines Co-star Triptii Dimri at Netflix Event

Calling Madhuri Dixit Bollywood’s original fashion queen would hardly be an exaggeration. Whether in Western silhouettes or traditional attire, the actor continues to cast her timeless charm with effortless grace. Her latest appearance proved just that, as she arrived at a Netflix event in a striking saree that instantly became the highlight of the evening.

The 58-year-old star attended the promotional event for her upcoming dark comedy film alongside co-actor Triptii Dimri. While both actresses coordinated in shades of orange, it was Madhuri’s regal saree look that dominated attention, leaving fashion watchers impressed by her elegance and styling.

A Twin Moment in Orange

The event, hosted by Netflix India to unveil upcoming films and series, saw the cast gathered in coordinated tones. Madhuri chose a vibrant saree while Triptii opted for an orange anarkali ensemble. Surrounded by attendees in muted blacks and greys, the duo stood out instantly. Yet, Madhuri’s radiant presence and polished styling drew the loudest praise.

Hand-Painted Georgette Saree Makes a Statement

Madhuri wore a saree from the label Baavli, crafted in pure georgette and adorned with hand-painted floral motifs. The flowing fabric added softness and movement, while the orange sequin border finished with golden lace gave the drape a rich, festive edge. Styled with an open pallu, the saree balanced sophistication with visual drama.

She paired it with a matching orange blouse made from crepe rather than georgette, featuring hand embroidery and sequin detailing. Designed with a round neckline and sleeveless cut, the blouse showcased intricate floral embellishments highlighted with shimmer. According to the brand’s listing, the blouse is priced at ₹23,000, while the saree retails at ₹86,500.

Triptii Dimri’s Sequinned Anarkali

Triptii, meanwhile, wore an orange anarkali set by Drishti & Zahabia, crafted in dupion silk that carried a subtle sheen. The sleeveless design featured a deep sweetheart neckline, adding a contemporary edge. The outfit was decorated with yellow and green floral prints, with sequins and golden thread highlighting the bodice. She completed the look with printed pants and a plain organza dupatta finished with a gold sequin border.

Though stylish and youthful, the ensemble could not quite match the timeless gravitas of Madhuri’s saree.

Why Madhuri’s Look Stood Out

Both actors embraced traditional silhouettes in the same color palette, yet Madhuri’s saree created stronger visual impact. The bold floral artwork, contrasting tones, and fluid drape elevated the outfit. Sarees inherently carry a grace that structured suits often struggle to replicate, and Madhuri’s styling amplified that advantage, resulting in a look that felt rich, classic, and impeccably finished.

Her appearance once again reaffirmed why she remains a lasting style icon — proof that elegance only deepens with time.
