Sonu Sood to Help Rajpal Yadav Repay Debt: “It’s Not Charity, It’s Respect”
Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav, who recently surrendered at Tihar Jail over a decades-old bounced cheque case, had expressed his helplessness, saying, “What can I do? I don’t have money. I see no other way. Here, you’re all alone. You don’t have friends. I will have to face this hardship by myself.”
Now, actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood has extended a helping hand to support Yadav.
Sonu Sood Speaks OutThe issue dates back to 2010, when Rajpal Yadav, as a director, made the film Ata Pata Lapata and borrowed ₹5 crore from Murli Projects Pvt. Ltd. to finance it. While the film was completed and released, it flopped commercially, leaving Yadav unable to repay the debt. The lending company subsequently filed a case against him for bounced cheques.
