Trump Furious Over Russia-Ukraine Peace Talks: No More Negotiations, Demands Immediate Action

Washington, D.C.: U.S. President Donald Trump has reportedly grown extremely frustrated with ongoing peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, signaling that he no longer wishes to engage in further discussions. White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt confirmed on Thursday that the President is “deeply disappointed” with both sides and is demanding immediate action to end the war.

“President Trump is tired of talks and wants decisive steps to bring this conflict to an end,” Levitt stated. “He expects tangible results, not endless negotiations.”

Discontent Over Ukraine’s Response

Tensions reportedly escalated after Ukrainian officials suggested that Washington’s stance had seen minimal changes following the submission of a 28-point peace plan last month. Trump’s proposed plan is seen as favoring Russia, particularly regarding territorial adjustments. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky revealed that Washington is pressuring Kyiv to withdraw its troops from certain areas of eastern Donetsk, creating a demilitarized free economic zone, while Russian forces remain in other disputed territories.

Key Points of Contention

AFP reports that Ukraine has submitted a 20-point counter-proposal to Washington this week, with details yet to be fully disclosed. Zelensky highlighted that disagreements persist mainly over Donetsk and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, both of which remain central in ongoing discussions.

With Trump demanding immediate action and showing clear frustration with diplomacy, the future of U.S.-mediated negotiations remains uncertain, raising questions about the next steps in the four-year conflict.
