Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman Urge Trump to Give Iran Another Chance

Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman have reportedly made last-minute diplomatic efforts to persuade U.S. President Donald Trump not to launch an attack on Iran. The Gulf nations fear that any military action could destabilize the Middle East and threaten regional security. Meanwhile, the U.S. has continued to issue warnings to Iran about possible military action.

Gulf Nations Advocate Patience
Senior Saudi officials, speaking on condition of anonymity, said that the three Gulf states made “an intense, last-minute diplomatic push to urge President Trump to give Iran a chance to show good intentions.” Talks are ongoing to strengthen trust and consolidate the fragile diplomatic atmosphere in the region.

Iran’s Stark Warning
In a provocative move, Iran released images referencing a 2024 assassination attempt on Trump in Pennsylvania, warning, “This time, the target will not be missed.” The message, translated from Persian, circulated widely on social media and was also broadcast on Iranian state television. The warning came amid repeated threats from the U.S. toward Tehran.

Trump’s Firm Stance on Iran
In a speech at the Detroit Economic Club, President Trump stated, “Until the senseless killings of protesters stop, I have canceled all meetings with Iranian officials.” He condemned the ongoing situation in Iran as unacceptable and called on those responsible to be held accountable. Addressing “patriotic Iranians,” Trump urged citizens to continue protesting and, if possible, gain control over their institutions. He warned clearly that those found guilty would face severe consequences.

The diplomatic push by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman comes at a critical moment as tensions between the U.S. and Iran remain high, with both sides signaling restraint while carefully managing the threat of escalation.
