Iran Security Chief Labels Trump and Netanyahu “Killers of Iranians”

TEHRAN: Amid widespread protests against the Khamenei regime, Iran’s National Security Chief Ali Larijani has struck back at the United States and Israel, directly blaming U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the deaths of Iranian citizens.

At least 2,400 people have reportedly been killed in the nationwide demonstrations so far, with thousands more arrested. Larijani’s remarks came hours after Trump urged Iranians to seize government institutions in a controversial call for action.

Direct Attack on Trump and Netanyahu

Former Speaker of Iran’s Parliament and current Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, posted on the social media platform X, naming Trump and Netanyahu as the “main killers of the Iranian people.” Larijani wrote, “We name the main killers of the Iranian people: 1. Trump 2. Netanyahu.”

He also shared a screenshot of Trump’s Truth Social post, in which the U.S. president urged Iranians to occupy state institutions and warned that perpetrators of oppression would “pay a high price.” Trump added that he had canceled all meetings with Iranian officials until the killings of protesters cease, assuring that “help is on the way.”

Accusations Against the U.S. and Israel

Larijani accused Washington and Tel Aviv of inciting unrest that has cost thousands of lives. Meanwhile, Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, also criticized Trump for promoting political instability and encouraging violence, describing it as a threat to Iran’s sovereignty and national security. In response, Iranian authorities have intensified their crackdown on protesters across the country.
