Donald Trump Issues New Warning to Iran: “If Nuclear Deal Fails, Consequences Will Follow”

Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has once again issued a stern warning to Iran, stating that Tehran knows the consequences if it fails to reach a nuclear agreement. His remarks came immediately after talks between U.S. and Iranian officials in Muscat, Oman, aimed at reviving the nuclear deal.

Speaking to reporters, Trump reiterated that a large U.S. naval fleet is heading toward the region, emphasizing America’s readiness and resolve. He claimed that Iran is eager to strike a deal and described the ongoing negotiations as “very good,” but stressed that Tehran must come to the table in the right position.

“We had very good talks with Iran. It seems they are desperate to make a deal. This deal will be different from the last one. Our massive fleet is on its way, and it will arrive very soon,” Trump said. He added that there is still sufficient time, but Tehran must act responsibly.

Trump underscored that the primary condition for any agreement is that Iran must not acquire nuclear weapons.

What Happened During the Muscat Talks

The nuclear negotiations in Muscat took place on Friday, with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi representing Tehran. The U.S. delegation included Special Envoy Steve Whitcraft and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.

Following the talks, Araghchi stressed that threats and pressure tactics must be avoided in the negotiation process. He reiterated that Tehran would only discuss its nuclear program and would not entertain discussions on other issues. Reports indicate that the U.S. attempted to include Iran’s missile program in the agenda, but Tehran firmly rejected this.

Trump’s warning highlights the ongoing tension over Iran’s nuclear ambitions and signals that Washington is prepared to use military and strategic leverage if negotiations falter.
