Vivo X200T Review: Should You Skip the X300 and Spend ₹60,000 on This?

Vivo has surprised users by launching the X200T, a slightly more affordable variant of its flagship X300 series. With a saving of ₹15,000, the X200T offers a premium design, powerful Dimensity 9400+ performance, and a large 6200 mAh battery. However, buyers will need to accept minor compromises like limited zoom capabilities and USB 2.0 support. For those seeking a large screen and value for money, the X200T is a compelling option.

Design and Premium Feel
Despite being cheaper, the X200T closely mirrors the X300 in design—round camera modules, pill-shaped flash, and a premium finish. On a scale of 1–20 for premium feel, the reviewer scores X200T at 19 and X300 at 20. The key difference is the form factor: X300 is compact, while X200T features a 6.67-inch display, catering to users who prefer bigger screens.

Display Quality
X200T comes with a 6.67-inch LTPS AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 5000 nits, making it highly usable even in bright sunlight. While X300 offers an LTPO display (1Hz–120Hz), X200T’s LTPS panel runs from 60Hz–120Hz. For most users, the difference is negligible. Both displays support HDR10+ on Netflix.

Performance and Software Experience
The X200T is powered by Mediatek Dimensity 9400+, paired with UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM, delivering top-notch performance for daily and high-end tasks. The X300 uses Dimensity 9500, but in real-world usage, the performance difference is minimal. USB 2.0 on X200T may slightly affect large data transfers, but for typical usage, the experience remains smooth. Both devices run Origin OS 6, offering a feature-rich, polished software experience.

Camera Performance
The camera setup is where buyers may need to weigh trade-offs. X200T features 50+50+50 MP triple rear cameras, while X300 boasts a 200+50+50 MP setup. For casual photography, X200T covers 90% of average user needs, producing excellent shots in good lighting. However, for detailed zoom shots or specialized photography, the X300 performs better. The X200T also sports a 32 MP front camera, though it lacks autofocus.

Battery Life
X200T packs a 6200 mAh battery, delivering 1.5–2 days of backup under medium usage. With a 90W wired charger, the device charges fully in just 53 minutes, making it convenient for heavy users.

Verdict
If you want the X300 experience with a larger screen at a lower budget, X200T is an attractive choice. Minor compromises like LTPS display and USB 2.0 may be overlooked by most users. The base 12+256GB variant starts at ₹59,000, with potential discounts bringing it down to around ₹55,000. Considering the value and performance, the reviewer rates the Vivo X200T 3.9 out of 5 stars.
