Samsung to Introduce Revolutionary ‘Privacy Display’ Feature in Galaxy S26 Series

Samsung is set to unveil a groundbreaking privacy feature with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series. This innovative feature will allow users to keep their phone screen private without the need for a privacy tempered glass, something that was previously a common solution for preventing prying eyes. The Privacy Display feature will be built directly into the phone’s screen, ensuring that only the user can view the content, while those around them will see a blacked-out screen. This revolutionary feature will be available through a combination of both hardware and software, and can be activated or deactivated through the phone’s settings.

What is the ‘Privacy Display’ Feature?

Samsung’s Privacy Display will eliminate the need for external privacy filters or tempered glass. With this feature, users won’t have to worry about anyone peering over their shoulder to see sensitive content on their phone screen. According to reports, Samsung will integrate this feature into the Galaxy S26 Ultra model, enabling users to activate privacy directly via the phone’s settings.

As per a report by Android Authority, Samsung is combining hardware and software to create this new feature. Users will be able to activate it from within the Tips app under One UI 8.5. When activated, the phone’s screen will appear normal to the person holding the phone. However, anyone viewing from the sides, top, or bottom will see a completely blacked-out screen. This innovative feature will be powered by Flex Magic Pixel OLED technology and AI to ensure that the display remains functional while offering enhanced privacy.

How Will It Work?

Once the Privacy Display is enabled, the user will be able to see their screen normally, but anyone attempting to view the content from a different angle will see a blank screen. The technology ensures that the viewing experience remains unaffected when using the phone alone, making it seamless for individual use.

Smart Functionality of the Privacy Display

In addition to manual control, the feature will be available as a quick toggle in the phone’s settings, allowing users to easily turn it on or off. Furthermore, it will have an auto-enable option, which means that the display can automatically activate in specific situations, such as when the user is traveling on a train or metro, or when using banking apps for privacy-sensitive activities.

Launch with Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra

If the leaked reports are accurate, the Privacy Display feature will debut with the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. This will be a huge convenience for users who need to protect their privacy in public spaces, such as on public transport or in offices. By eliminating the need for physical privacy tempered glass, Samsung is revolutionizing smartphone privacy with an innovative, tech-driven solution.

This feature is set to make the Galaxy S26 Ultra a must-have for anyone who values both privacy and cutting-edge technology.
