New Delhi: Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G series in India, introducing two new smartphones — Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G. The latest Redmi devices focus heavily on camera performance, durability and battery longevity, but fall slightly short on design innovation and software appeal.
Both smartphones come equipped with a 200-megapixel primary rear camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), positioning them strongly in the upper mid-range segment. The Pro+ variant is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset, while the standard Pro model runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultra processor.
Display, Durability and Battery
The Redmi Note 15 Pro series features a large 6.83-inch CrystalRes AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,200 nits and triple TÜV certification. Protection is ensured by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings make these phones among the most water- and dust-resistant in their class.
Battery life is one of the strongest highlights. The Redmi Note 15 Pro packs a 6,580mAh battery, while the Pro+ model gets a 6,500mAh unit, both supporting 45W fast charging. Xiaomi claims a six-year battery lifespan, focusing on long-term durability rather than just capacity numbers.

Camera and Software
Apart from the 200MP main sensor, the phones feature an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The Pro+ model offers a 32MP front camera, while the Pro variant comes with a 20MP selfie shooter. Both devices run on HyperOS based on Android 15, which, at this price point, feels slightly underwhelming compared to rivals offering longer OS upgrade roadmaps.
What’s Good, What’s Average
The Redmi Note 15 Pro series delivers strong performance across key areas such as display quality, battery durability, camera hardware and chipset performance. Xiaomi’s focus on long-term battery health is a notable differentiator.
However, the design lacks a standout premium appeal, especially when compared to competitors like Vivo and Oppo, which are pushing bold aesthetics in the same segment. Additionally, the use of Android 15 without a more aggressive software upgrade promise may disappoint some users.
Verdict
The Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G series is a feature-rich and durable choice for users prioritising camera quality, battery life and display performance. While it doesn’t redefine design or software experience, it remains a solid contender in the competitive mid-premium smartphone market.
