Poco M8 5G India Launch Confirmed: Coming January 8 with Impressive Features

Poco is all set to launch its latest smartphone, Poco M8 5G, in India on January 8, 2026. The device promises to bring several exciting features, including a 50-megapixel AI-powered camera, though if it turns out to be a rebranded Redmi Note 15 5G, the rear camera could be 108 megapixels.

Key Specs and Features

The new Poco M8 5G will be a sleek 7.35mm device powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset. The phone is expected to include 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. Its 5520 mAh battery supports 45W fast charging and 18W reverse charging, although it is slightly below the current trend of 7000 mAh batteries.

The device will sport a 6.77-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3200 nits peak brightness, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i. The rear design will feature a dual-tone camera panel, and the finish will be offered in matte and vegan leather options.

Camera Highlights

While details are still emerging, the primary camera could either be 50 MP or 108 MP, depending on whether it is a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 15 5G. The phone is also expected to include a 20 MP front-facing selfie camera.

Availability and Sale

Poco has confirmed that the phone will be available for purchase via Flipkart, with the sale starting at 12 PM on January 8. The company has teased the Poco M8 5G’s design through Flipkart’s microsite, and promotional videos on social media showcase the upcoming smartphone’s premium look and dual-tone rear panel.

Pricing

Poco has not yet revealed the official price of the Poco M8 5G. Consumers are eagerly waiting to see how this device is positioned in the competitive 5G smartphone market in India.

With its high-resolution cameras, powerful chipset, and sleek design, the Poco M8 5G is expected to attract tech enthusiasts and budget-conscious users alike.
