OnePlus has unveiled its powerful new Turbo 6 series in China, featuring two smartphones – the OnePlus Turbo 6 and OnePlus Turbo 6V – both equipped with massive 9,000mAh batteries. These devices come with high-end processors, advanced features, and robust durability ratings, generating anticipation for their launch in India, likely under the OnePlus Nord 6 branding.
Massive Battery and High-End Specs
The OnePlus Turbo 6 series boasts one of the largest batteries in the current smartphone market. The flagship Turbo 6 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 processor and offers up to 16GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. It features a 6.78-inch FHD+ display, an advanced cooling system, and runs on ColorOS 16, ensuring smooth performance without overheating.
The device supports 80W fast charging and 27W reverse wired charging, while its IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications provide comprehensive protection against dust and water. Photography features include a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera, a 2MP secondary sensor, and a 16MP front-facing camera. Additional features include full-function NFC and multi-band GPS support.
The Turbo 6V model, slightly toned down, comes with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor, up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage, and retains the 9,000mAh battery with fast and reverse charging capabilities. Its display, camera setup, and IP certifications mirror the Turbo 6, while it also offers dual-frequency GPS, NFC, and structural reinforcement for enhanced durability.
Pricing in China
In China, the Turbo 6 starts at CNY 2,099 (≈ ₹27,000) for the 12GB/256GB variant, while the top-end 16GB/512GB model is priced at CNY 2,899 (≈ ₹37,000). Color options include Light Chaser Silver, Lone Black, and Wild Green. The Turbo 6V starts at CNY 1,699 (≈ ₹21,000) and comes in Fearless Blue, Lone Black, and Nova White.
Will India Get the Turbo 6 Series?
Although the Turbo 6 series is currently exclusive to China, OnePlus is expected to launch it in India under a different branding, likely as the Nord 6 series. If so, Indian users could soon experience the unprecedented 9,000mAh battery in a Nord-branded smartphone, along with all the high-end features of the Turbo series.
