Jio Unveils AI-Powered Smart Glasses “JioFrames” at India AI Impact Summit 2026

At the India AI Impact Summit 2026, Jio showcased its latest innovation, JioFrames — AI-powered smart glasses designed for video recording, translation, and interactive AI assistance. The summit, running until 20 February, is hosting an AI expo with over 600 startups presenting their products.

Features and Capabilities
JioFrames come in a sleek black frame with two front-facing cameras, built-in speakers, and a microphone. Users can record videos directly from the glasses, interact with the AI system by saying “Hey Jio”, and even get real-time translation in multiple Indian languages. A touch-sensitive button allows volume adjustment, and the frames are lightweight and comfortable to wear.

The glasses are compatible with prescription lenses, making them convenient for users with vision correction needs. According to Jio, JioFrames will be priced at roughly half the cost of Meta’s Ray-Ban AI glasses, offering a more affordable alternative in the AI wearable segment.

AI Interaction Made Simple
With the integrated AI, users can ask questions, access recipes, or get audio responses directly through the speakers, eliminating the need for separate earbuds. This makes JioFrames an all-in-one device for both productivity and convenience.

The India AI Impact Summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who described the event as a “powerful confluence of ideas, innovation, and intent,” highlighting India’s growing role in the global AI ecosystem.
