iPhone 17 Price Rumors Debunked: Apple Confirms No Hike in India

Social media has recently been abuzz with claims that Apple would increase the price of the iPhone 17 by ₹7,000 starting December 16, 2025. Several tech tipsters shared screenshots suggesting a revised minimum support price of ₹89,900, up from the launch price of ₹82,900.

However, Apple has officially denied these rumors. The company confirmed that no price hike has been planned, and the iPhone 17 continues to be sold at its original launch price. Apple India’s website also reflects the unchanged pricing.

What Social Media Claimed
Popular tech tipsters, including Abhishek Yadav, circulated a screenshot that appeared to show Apple notifying customers of a price revision for the iPhone 17 in India. According to these posts, the base model, initially launched at ₹82,900, would see a price increase to ₹89,900 starting December 16. The screenshot created widespread concern among potential buyers.

Apple’s Response
NBT Tech reached out to Apple regarding the circulating claims. Apple confirmed that the screenshot and related price hike reports were completely false. There has been no official communication about any increase in iPhone 17 pricing.

Advice for Buyers
Customers planning to purchase a new iPhone 17 should note that current prices remain unchanged. Any demands for higher payments from Apple stores or third-party sellers are not valid. Apple has assured that any genuine price revisions will be officially announced, and tech media will provide updated information when that happens.
