India’s AI-Powered YouTube Channel Dominates Globally, Earns Crores Annually

A YouTube channel from India that produces entirely AI-generated content has emerged as one of the most-watched channels worldwide. A recent study by video editing company Capwing revealed that among channels serving purely AI-based videos, India’s “Bandar Apna Dost” tops the list, earning millions annually.

About the Channel

According to Capwing’s study, “Bandar Apna Dost” showcases realistic stories featuring a talking monkey named Boltu Bandar. The videos are entertaining, dramatic, and emotional, catering to a wide audience. Currently, the channel boasts 2.76 million subscribers and has uploaded 619 videos. Its annual revenue is estimated at ₹35 crore, with a total view count exceeding 2.07 billion. These impressive numbers make it one of the most successful AI-driven channels globally.

Public Reaction

The channel has sparked widespread discussion online. While some users marvel at the revenue potential of AI-generated content, others have praised the creativity behind it, emphasizing that no work is too small when it delivers results. Many also noted that audiences often prefer flashy, attention-grabbing content over high-quality productions.

Study Insights on AI Content

Capwing’s study further revealed that out of 500 videos analyzed on a newly created YouTube account, 104 videos (21%) were AI-generated. Additionally, 165 videos fell under the “brainrot” category, characterized by low-quality, meaningless content designed solely to grab attention. The study examined the top 100 channels in every country, highlighting that YouTube is increasingly flooded with AI-generated and low-quality content, which can compromise both platform quality and user viewing experience.

As AI continues to transform content creation, channels like “Bandar Apna Dost” demonstrate the massive earning potential and global reach that AI-powered media can achieve.
