India Tops the World in AI Advantage Score: Leading the Way in Workplace AI Adoption

India, already ranked third in Stanford’s recent AI Index behind the US and China, has now achieved yet another milestone in artificial intelligence. The country has secured the top position in the ‘World AI Advantage’ score, demonstrating the real impact of AI on workplace efficiency.

India’s AI Score
With a score of 53, India leads globally, significantly above the world average of 34. The ‘AI Advantage’ score reflects the amount of time employees save by using AI tools. This data comes from EY’s 2025 Work Reimagined Survey, which shows that AI adoption in India is visibly enhancing productivity and decision-making at workplaces.

AI Makes Work Easier and More Efficient
According to ANI, India is among the fastest adopters of generative AI. Employees report that AI not only speeds up tasks but also improves the quality of work. Around 62% of Indian professionals use AI regularly in their daily work. Both employees and managers acknowledge that AI simplifies decision-making while maintaining high work standards.

Strong Talent Health Score
India also boasts the highest Talent Health Score at 82, measuring employee satisfaction regarding company culture, rewards, and learning opportunities. The global average is only 65. Indian employees feel empowered by managers who trust them and provide autonomy, enhancing their confidence and engagement.

Rapid AI Adoption in Organizations
Anurag Malik, Partner at EY India, noted that companies in India are thoughtfully balancing AI deployment with employee skills and experiences. “The real advantage emerges when technology enhances employee wellbeing and productivity,” he said.

Focus on AI Training and Employee Rewards
The survey highlights that rewarding talent contributes about 32% to the Talent Health Score. Indian employees prioritize bonuses (40%), flexible work hours (33%), salary aligned with lifestyle (32%), and health benefits (31%). At the same time, companies are equally investing in AI skill development (34%), keeping employees motivated and satisfied.

India’s top ranking in AI Advantage is a testament to the country’s rapid adoption, innovative workplace culture, and commitment to employee empowerment—a model for the world to follow.
