New Delhi: At the India AI Impact Summit 2026 held in Delhi, leaders from Adobe and Accenture expressed strong confidence in India’s AI potential. Adobe CEO and Chairman Shantanu Narayen highlighted that India, with its vast population and rapid digital adoption, could become the world’s largest base of AI users. He emphasized India’s potential global leadership in data security and combating deepfakes.
Speaking at the summit, Narayen said, “India’s AI journey will not be limited to creating models alone. The country has the opportunity to lead globally on issues of data, privacy, security, and trust. In the AI era, the biggest question is not just technology, but how data is used, how privacy is protected, and how systems earn people’s trust.” He also pointed to content authenticity as a major opportunity for India, stating that distinguishing between real and fake content is increasingly important amid the rise of fake content and deepfakes.
Narayen added, “I have strong confidence in India’s AI trajectory. The country is well-positioned to ensure AI develops responsibly and can set global benchmarks.”
Accenture CEO Julie Sweet also spoke at the summit, praising India’s integration of AI into the education sector. “AI is being introduced into schools from an early age, setting an example for governments worldwide. Learning is now a lifelong process, and education can no longer be limited to earning a degree,” she said.
Sweet highlighted the continued importance of entry-level jobs in the AI era. “Countries and companies that adopt new technologies and enhance productivity will move ahead. Entry-level roles are crucial for preparing future leaders and bringing fresh talent into organizations. Accenture plans to hire more entry-level employees this year than last,” she noted.
She further emphasized the need for inclusive access to AI technologies for small and medium enterprises, which contribute significantly to global GDP and employment, especially in the Global South. “Public-private partnerships and global standards for safe and effective AI use are essential to ensure maximum societal benefit from these technologies,” Sweet concluded.
