Get Free Legal Advice from Home: Government Launches Nyaya Setu on WhatsApp

New Delhi: Accessing legal help has become easier than ever in the digital age. The Indian government’s Nyaya Setu service is now available on WhatsApp, allowing citizens to receive free legal advice, information, and assistance directly from their phones.

By simply sending a “Hi” message, users can get information about laws, court case status, government legal schemes, and other justice-related queries—without downloading any app or visiting a website. This smart digital platform connects ordinary citizens with legal assistance and judicial services conveniently from home.

About Nyaya Setu
Launched in August 2024, Nyaya Setu was created to provide quick and hassle-free legal help to citizens. With the WhatsApp integration, users can now access professional legal support safely and efficiently. The Ministry of Law and Justice confirmed via X (formerly Twitter) that this update ensures that every citizen can easily connect with qualified legal assistance.

How to Use Nyaya Setu on WhatsApp
To access the service:

  1. Save the number 7217711814 in your phone. It will appear as “Tele-Law” on WhatsApp.
  2. Send a “Hi” or “Hello” message to this number.
  3. Three options will appear on the screen: Legal Advice, Legal Information, and Legal Assistance.
  4. Select the option that suits your requirement, and receive guidance free of cost from the comfort of your home.

Nyaya Setu on WhatsApp makes it possible for anyone to access legal support instantly, bridging the gap between citizens and the justice system in a simple and user-friendly way.
