Elon Musk Accuses Anthropic AI of Bias Against White and Asian People

February 13, 2026: Elon Musk has publicly criticized AI company Anthropic, claiming that its AI models harbor discriminatory biases. In a post on his social media platform X, Musk alleged that Anthropic’s AI “hates white and Asian people,” particularly targeting Chinese individuals, heterosexuals, and men. He described the AI models as “malicious and harmful” and demanded corrective action, while expressing little confidence in the company’s ability to address these issues.

Anthropic’s Success Sparks Musk’s Criticism
Anthropic has recently been in the global spotlight after announcing a $30 billion funding round, causing waves in the IT and software industry. The company’s AI models, including its Claude Cowork agent-based AI workspace, have introduced features that allow users not only to engage in conversation but also to read, edit, and organize files on computers. This advancement has intensified the competition between Musk’s xAI Grok and Anthropic’s Claude AI, further fueling Musk’s outspoken criticism.

Competition and Controversy in India
Anthropic is also facing legal challenges in India. A Karnataka-based company claims it has been using the Anthropic name since 2017 and has filed a lawsuit demanding ₹1 crore in damages, citing potential customer confusion caused by the American company’s entry into the Indian market.

The clash highlights both the intense global competition in the AI sector and the growing scrutiny over ethical AI development and corporate branding.
