Check Your Name in UP’s Draft Voter List Online; Here’s How to Add It if Missing

The Election Commission of India has released the draft voter list for Uttar Pradesh, and citizens can now check whether their names appear on the list—all from the comfort of home using their phone or computer. Reports indicate that the SIR (Summary Revision) process has removed nearly 2.89 crore names, making it essential for voters to verify their inclusion.

How to Check Your Name Online
You do not need to contact a BLO or any government official. The draft voter list can be checked online using three simple methods:

Method 1: Using Voter ID (EPIC Number)

  1. Visit the official ECI website: https://voters.eci.gov.in
  2. Click on “Search your Name in Voter List.”
  3. Enter your Voter ID (EPIC Number) and the captcha code.
  4. Click “Search” to view your details if your name is included in the draft voter list.

Method 2: Using Personal Details
If you do not have your voter ID, you can search using personal details such as your name, state, date of birth/age, gender, and district. Follow the same steps as above and fill in your details instead of the voter ID. Your record will appear if your name is present in the list.

Method 3: Using Mobile Number
You can also search using your registered mobile number. Follow the same initial steps, enter your mobile number, and your voter details will be displayed if your name is on the list.

Alternative: Downloading the Draft List as PDF
Sometimes, due to website traffic, the above methods may not work. In that case, you can download the draft list PDF:

  1. Go to the ECI website and select “Download Electoral Roll.”
  2. Choose Uttar Pradesh as the state and 2026 as the year. Select “SirDraft Roll2026” under Roll Type.
  3. Enter your district, assembly constituency, language, and polling station, then download the PDF.
  4. Search your name in the PDF file.

What to Do if Your Name is Missing
If your name is not on the draft list, there is no need to panic. The draft is not final, and voters can submit Form 6 to include a new name or Form 7 to raise an objection if their name was wrongly removed. The deadline for submission is 6 February 2026. All forms can be filled online via the ECI’s official website: https://voters.eci.gov.in. Follow the instructions carefully to ensure your name is included in the final voter list.
