Las Vegas: The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas, the world’s largest technology event, has once again offered a glimpse into the future. Hundreds of tech companies from over 150 countries showcased their latest innovations from January 6 to 9, with more than 40% of participants coming from outside the United States. Key areas on display include AI, digital health, robotics, energy, and mobility.
Scar-Removing Device by Kolmar Korea
South Korea’s Kolmar Korea introduced a revolutionary device capable of treating old scars, burns, and cuts while simultaneously applying makeup to blend the skin tone. The device first captures a photo of the affected area using a mobile camera. Similar to how doctors use X-rays to diagnose conditions, the AI analyzes the scar type and automatically selects the correct treatment and matching skin-colored powder spray. Remarkably, the entire procedure takes just 10 minutes without emitting heat, ensuring safe and painless treatment. This innovation earned Kolmar Korea the CES 2026 Best Innovation Award.
Human-Like Robot for Factories by Hyundai
Hyundai, in collaboration with Boston Dynamics, unveiled Atlas, a humanoid robot capable of walking, bending, lifting objects, and performing tasks like a human worker—without fatigue. Hyundai plans to deploy Atlas in its electric car assembly lines by 2028 to assist with factory operations.
Lollipop That Plays Music While You Eat
One of the most playful innovations came from Lollipop Star, which introduced a lollipop that plays music while being eaten. Using bone conduction technology, vibrations from the lollipop are transmitted through the jawbone directly to the ears, allowing users to enjoy music without speakers or headphones.
Whisper-to-Text Earbuds by Subtle Computing
Subtle Computing showcased earbuds capable of recognizing whispered speech even in noisy environments. During the demo, an engineer spoke softly in a crowded hall, and the earbuds accurately transcribed every word on a mobile screen. These earbuds are especially useful for privacy-conscious users or those who rely on voice commands to operate devices.
Domestic Helper Robot by LG
LG displayed a domestic robot capable of performing household tasks such as folding clothes, serving food, and moving items around the house. While currently in the showcase phase, LG aims to make these robots accessible to everyday households in the near future.
Nvidia Introduces “Physical AI”
Chipmaker Nvidia unveiled Physical AI, a next-generation technology that extends AI beyond digital platforms like apps or chatbots into the physical world. For example, self-driving cars can train in simulated environments with rain, crowds, and accidents before operating on real roads. Similarly, robots and factory machines can be trained using this technology. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang demonstrated walking robots using Physical AI at CES 2026.
Conclusion
CES 2026 highlighted how technology is rapidly moving from digital interfaces to real-world applications, offering both futuristic fun and practical solutions—from music-playing lollipops to advanced AI-driven robots.
