BSNL Offers Extra Mobile Data on Four Recharge Plans—No Additional Cost, Valid Till January 31

State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has rolled out a limited-time offer for its prepaid users, providing extra daily mobile data on select recharge plans without increasing prices. The special data benefit will remain valid until January 31, 2026.

Under this offer, BSNL has enhanced daily data limits on four prepaid plans priced at ₹225, ₹347, ₹485, and ₹2,399, allowing users to enjoy more data at the same cost.

Extra Data Without Paying More

BSNL has increased the daily data allocation by up to 500MB per day on these plans, offering better value amid rising tariff concerns across the telecom sector.

The company confirmed the offer through its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, stating that the additional data is available only for a limited period.

Revised Data Benefits: Plan-Wise Details

  • ₹225 Plan:
Daily data increased from 2.5GB to 3GB
  • ₹347 Plan:
Daily data increased from 2GB to 2.5GB
  • ₹485 Plan:
Daily data increased from 2GB to 2.5GB
  • ₹2,399 Plan:
Daily data increased from 2GB to 2.5GB

All these plans continue to offer unlimited voice calling and free SMS benefits, along with their respective validity periods.

Relief for Users Amid Tariff Hike Concerns

At a time when private telecom operators such as Jio, Airtel, and Vi have reduced benefits on several prepaid plans and hinted at tariff hikes, BSNL’s move comes as a major relief for cost-conscious users.

Customers who recharge with the eligible plans on or before January 31, 2026, will automatically receive the enhanced data benefits—without any extra charges.

Bottom Line

BSNL’s limited-period offer provides higher data value at unchanged prices, making it an attractive option for users seeking affordable and reliable connectivity in 2026.
