Bharat Taxi App to Launch in Delhi from January 1: Affordable Rides for Passengers, Higher Earnings for Drivers

Delhi commuters are set to get a new alternative to Ola and Uber as the Bharat Taxi app is scheduled for launch on January 1, 2026. Developed with the aim of benefiting both passengers and drivers, the platform promises fixed fares during peak hours and a more transparent revenue model, offering drivers over 80% of the total fare.

A Relief for Passengers

Bharat Taxi aims to address a major concern faced by Delhi commuters — surge pricing during peak hours. Currently, services like Ola and Uber often charge exorbitant rates during morning and evening rush hours. Bharat Taxi will maintain stable fare rates, ensuring that passengers can plan their travel budgets without unexpected spikes.

Drivers to Earn More

The app’s revenue model is designed to prioritize drivers’ earnings. While most private cab services charge 20–25% commission from drivers, Bharat Taxi ensures they receive more than 80% of the total fare, significantly boosting their income. Over 56,000 drivers in Delhi have already registered on the platform, reflecting its anticipated popularity.

Multiple Ride Options

Bharat Taxi is not limited to cars alone. Passengers will have the flexibility to book autos, bikes, or cars based on their requirements and budget. For short distances, bike taxis are available; for medium distances, auto-rickshaws; and for longer trips or family travel, cars can be booked. This multi-service approach is expected to make commuting more convenient and affordable across Delhi.

With the Bharat Taxi app, Delhi residents can look forward to transparent fares, affordable travel, and a better commuting experience, while drivers enjoy enhanced earnings and reduced commission charges.
