Expert Insight on Apple’s Performance
Research analyst Harshit Rastogi said, “Apple has firmly maintained its position in the top 10 rankings. The iPhone 16 series led the sales charts, while the iPhone 17 also gained popularity, achieving 16% higher sales in its first quarter (October to December) compared to the previous series.”
Why iPhone 17 Gained Popularity
Apple introduced several upgrades in iPhone 17 compared to iPhone 16:
- Higher display refresh rate
- Center Stage selfie camera
- Increased base storage from 128GB to 256GB
These enhancements contributed to the strong market response, pushing iPhone 17 to 7th position, compared to iPhone 16, which had ranked 10th in 2024.
iPhone 16e Makes an Impact
Apple also launched its first-ever “E” model in the number series last year. The iPhone 16e performed well in markets such as Japan and the United States, contributing significantly to Apple’s overall sales growth.
Apple’s continued dominance underscores the brand’s strong global appeal, while Samsung remains the only competitor consistently making it to the top-selling smartphone list.
