AI Now Hires Humans for Tasks: New Platform Lets AI Pay People for Work

The era when AI was feared to replace humans is evolving—now, AI can actually hire humans for tasks and pay them for it. This is no longer a futuristic concept but a reality. A Bitcoin software developer has launched a platform called rentahuman.ai, where AI agents can hire humans to perform physical tasks.

Humans as a Resource for AI
Traditionally, discussions around AI focused on machines replacing human labor. However, the newly launched platform flips this narrative. On rentahuman.ai, people can list themselves for hire at an hourly rate. AI agents can then book humans to carry out tasks that AI itself cannot perform. These include shopping, delivering items, attending meetings, photography, signing documents, or buying products from stores.

According to reports, the platform already has around 26,000 registered users. The system uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), which allows AI developers to instruct their agents via code to utilize human assistance whenever needed.

Payment Mechanism
Alex, the platform’s creator, shared details on X, emphasizing that no new digital tokens or currency would be introduced. He stated, “I don’t want people losing money chasing new currencies.” Payments to humans hired by AI will be made in cryptocurrency. The website itself was developed using an AI tool called Vibe Coding, where AI programs wrote the entire code using the Ralph Loop technology based on Alex’s instructions.

A Glimpse into AI’s Expanding Role
Rentahuman.ai reflects the growing influence of AI in everyday life. This follows other AI experiments such as Moltbook, a social network created for AI agents that interact, form communities, and even establish identities including language, religion, and social structure.

Users on rentahuman.ai range from tech company owners to content creators, demonstrating how future relationships between humans and machines might evolve—where AI could become the boss, and humans their “physical hands and feet.” Alex believes we have now entered an era where even websites can be created while we sleep, powered entirely by AI.

The platform highlights a paradigm shift in human-AI collaboration, showing that the future may not just be about AI replacing humans—but AI actively employing humans to bridge the gap between digital and physical work.
