AI Innovations at India AI Impact Summit: CCTV Cameras Work on Slow Internet, Smart Tools Monitor Energy and Nutrition

At the India AI Impact Summit 2026, companies showcased cutting-edge innovations designed to make daily life smarter and more efficient. From AI-enabled CCTV cameras to energy monitoring tools and nutrition-focused solutions, the summit highlighted how artificial intelligence is transforming multiple sectors.

Semantic Video Data Lake Enables CCTV on Low Bandwidth

Myblue.ai introduced the world’s first Semantic Video Data Lake, a platform that allows CCTV cameras to operate effectively even on slow internet connections or limited storage. The system compresses CCTV footage by up to 90% without compromising video quality. It works on three levels:

  1. Video Compression – reduces storage requirements while maintaining clarity.
  2. Content Analysis – users can query specific objects, such as a white car, and instantly retrieve related footage.
  3. Advanced AI Insights – detects real-world events, like a messy table in a restaurant or a kitchen emergency, and triggers alerts.

AI Tools for Energy Monitoring and Theft Detection

Bidgely showcased an AI tool capable of monitoring electricity usage at home, identifying appliances consuming excessive power, and detecting electricity theft. By analyzing 10–12 months of smart meter data, the system can suggest bill-saving strategies, optimal usage timings, and which appliances need replacement. The tool is currently deployed in collaboration with electricity companies in Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh), Bhagalpur (Bihar), and parts of Gujarat, reportedly saving crores for utility providers.

AI-Powered Secure Payments

Mastercard completed India’s first AI-based agentic commerce transaction, making shopping and payments more convenient and secure. The transaction was fully tokenized and authenticated, demonstrating that AI can now handle not only product discovery but also safe and uninterrupted payments. Gautam Agrawal, President of Mastercard India & South Asia, highlighted that AI is now extending into seamless, secure financial transactions.

AI in Mid-Day Meal Nutrition for Children

UdyogYantra AI presented two products aimed at improving the quality and quantity of mid-day meals for schoolchildren. Using AI-powered sensors and cameras, the system evaluates a child’s BMI and determines the nutritional requirements. The technology can also measure the exact nutritional content of meals prepared, including correct quantities of ingredients like lentils in sambar. The system is currently being piloted in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra, to support government efforts in enhancing school meal programs.

The summit underscored how AI is no longer limited to tech labs but is now solving real-world challenges in security, energy management, digital payments, and child nutrition.
