Vodafone-Idea Offers Free Phone Insurance with New Data Packs – Recharge for Just ₹61 to Get Coverage Up to ₹25,000

Vodafone-Idea (Vi) has surprised its customers with an exciting new offer. The telecom company has launched three prepaid data packs that come with free handset insurance, provided in collaboration with Aditya Birla Health Insurance Company (ABHICL). This insurance covers your phone in case it is lost or stolen.

What’s remarkable is that the cheapest plan costs only ₹61, yet it offers coverage of up to ₹25,000. This means users not only get internet data but also protection for their smartphones at minimal cost.

Vi’s New Plans
Vi has introduced three prepaid packs tailored for different users:

  1. ₹251 Plan – Includes 10GB data valid for 30 days. The insurance cover under this plan lasts one full year, even though the recharge is monthly.
  2. ₹201 Plan – Provides 10GB data for 30 days and includes 6 months of insurance coverage.
  3. ₹61 Plan – Offers 2GB data for 15 days and 30 days of insurance coverage.

Key Points to Remember

  • To avail of free handset insurance, you must already have an active Vi plan, as these packs are purely data recharge plans.
  • Your phone must be registered with your Vi number and should not be more than 3 years old.

How to Claim the Insurance
After recharging with any of the eligible plans, you will receive an SMS from ABHICL. You must complete your phone registration within 48 hours. ABHICL will then determine the phone’s value in real time, providing coverage up to ₹25,000. Claims are processed directly by ABHICL, while Vi assists users during the process.

With these new packs, Vi not only offers affordable internet but also a unique safety net for your smartphone, making it one of the most attractive prepaid offers in India.
