Samsung Galaxy Z Trifold: Samsung Launches 3-Fold Smartphone with 10-Inch Display, Sale Starts 12 December

Samsung has unveiled its first-ever Trifold smartphone, the Galaxy Z Trifold, featuring a massive 10.5-inch display, a 5600mAh battery, and a 200MP main camera. The device is designed to fold three times, transforming from a standard smartphone into a tablet-like experience. The phone will go on sale from 12 December 2025 in South Korea and will also be available in the U.S., China, Taiwan, Singapore, and the UAE, though pricing details are yet to be announced.

Innovative Trifold Design
The Galaxy Z Trifold comes with two hinges that allow the device to fold three times. When folded, it functions like a regular smartphone, but when fully unfolded, it transforms into a 10-inch tablet. Each panel can run a different app simultaneously, and the main internal screen offers a desktop-like experience. Samsung has reinforced the hinges, aluminum frame, and display for better durability and is offering a 50% discount on one-time display repair.

Powerful Specifications
The Trifold runs Android 16 with OneUI 8 and features a 10.5-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a resolution of 2160×1584 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1600 nits brightness. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, paired with 16GB RAM and up to 1TB storage.

Advanced Camera System
Photography enthusiasts will enjoy a 200MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto lens on the back. The front hosts dual 10MP cameras for selfies and video calls—one on the inner display and one on the outer screen.

Battery and Charging
The 5600mAh battery provides up to 17 hours of video playback when fully unfolded. It supports 45W wired and 15W wireless charging.

AI and Connectivity Features
The Galaxy Z Trifold includes Samsung’s Galaxy AI features, such as Generative Edit, Photo Assist, and Writing Assist, along with a 6-month trial of Alphabet Inc.’s Google AI Pro subscription. Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and USB Type-C. The phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and weighs 309 grams. Dimensions are 159.2×75.0x12.9mm folded and 159.2×214.1×3.9mm unfolded.

Pricing
Samsung has not yet revealed the official price. The pricing will be announced at the start of sales on 12 December 2025.
