Instagram has rolled out a game-changing feature for its users, especially during cold weather: the Auto-Scroll feature for Reels. With this update, users can now watch one Reel after another without touching their phones. Here’s everything you need to know about this convenient new feature.
What is Instagram’s Auto-Scroll Feature?
The Auto-Scroll feature has long been anticipated by Instagram users. Once activated, it automatically scrolls through Reels, eliminating the need to manually swipe or scroll for the next video. Simply put, you can now enjoy Reels while keeping your hands in your pockets or resting, without any manual interaction with your device.
How Does It Work?
Once the Auto-Scroll feature is turned on, Instagram will automatically load the next Reel when the current one ends. This makes it possible to watch Reels continuously without using your thumbs. The feature is particularly useful in winter when users may want to keep their hands warm inside their pockets while scrolling through Reels.
How to Enable Auto-Scroll on Instagram
The Auto-Scroll feature is not enabled by default, so users need to turn it on manually. Here’s how:
- Update the Instagram App: Ensure your app is up-to-date by checking the App Store or Play Store.
- Open Instagram and Start a Reel: Launch any Reel from your feed.
- Access Options: Tap the three dots below the Like, Comment, and Repost icons on the right side.
- Enable Auto-Scroll: Select the Auto-Scroll option to turn it on.
After this, your Reels will automatically scroll one after another. If the feature doesn’t work immediately, restart the app, and it should function as intended.
With this new Auto-Scroll feature, Instagram has made Reel-watching effortless and more enjoyable, ensuring users can keep up with endless content even in cold weather, without constantly interacting with their phones.
