To put this in perspective, these numbers are approximately 200 million more than TikTok and 380 million more than Instagram. Since its launch, ChatGPT has been downloaded a total of 1.36 billion times, marking a significant milestone in its rapid growth.

Previously, apps like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook dominated the download charts. However, ChatGPT has now overtaken them, emerging as the leading app in terms of global downloads. In just two and a half years, it has achieved growth comparable to TikTok’s early surge, reflecting users’ enthusiasm for integrating AI tools into their digital habits.
