15-Year-Old Gurugram Teen Develops App Bringing Apple AirPods Features to Android Phones

A 15-year-old tech prodigy from Gurugram, Kavish Devar, has created an innovative app called LibrePods, enabling Apple AirPods features to work seamlessly on Android and Linux devices. The app has already gained widespread acclaim from the global tech community.

Breaking the Compatibility Barrier

Until now, while AirPods could technically connect with Android smartphones, most of their key features did not function outside the Apple ecosystem. Features like auto ear detection, noise control modes, transparency mode, and head gestures were exclusive to iPhones.

LibrePods has successfully bridged this gap, allowing Android users to enjoy the full functionality of AirPods without needing to buy an iPhone.

How LibrePods Works

Kavish studied Apple’s communication technology and developed LibrePods to mimic the ecosystem interactions of AirPods. The app is completely free and open-source, allowing developers worldwide to inspect the code and understand how it functions.

  • Compatibility: Android phones, Linux systems
  • Features Enabled: All major AirPods functionalities previously limited to iOS

Global Recognition

The app went viral on social media shortly after its release. Developers and tech enthusiasts worldwide are praising Kavish for solving a longstanding compatibility issue that even major smartphone brands struggled to address fully.

LibrePods proves that innovation and ingenuity are not limited by age. With this creation, Android users can now experience Apple’s premium AirPods features seamlessly, marking a major milestone in cross-platform tech development.
