Young Woman Lost While Visiting Lover Ends Up at Gorakhpur Police Station

Gorakhpur: In an unusual incident in Padri Bazar, Shahpur police area, Gorakhpur, a young woman went to meet her boyfriend but ended up at the local police station instead. After questioning, the police contacted her family and safely handed her over to them.

What Happened?

According to reports, around 11:30 PM on Thursday, the woman was searching for her boyfriend in the Padri Bazar area. Unable to locate him and being alone late at night, she approached the police station for help. Initially, she attempted to mislead the officers by claiming she lived in Manas Vihar Colony near Sangam Chauraha and had simply lost her way.

Truth Revealed During Police Inquiry

Police noticed inconsistencies in her statements and, upon detailed questioning, the young woman admitted the truth. She revealed that she hails from Deoria district and currently resides in a rented accommodation in the Betiahata area for her studies. She has been acquainted with a local youth from the Sangam Chauraha area for some time.

Lost While Looking for Her Boyfriend

She explained that after a phone conversation on Thursday night, she had gone to Manas Vihar Colony to meet her boyfriend. While searching for his room, she got lost and, unable to contact him by phone, became anxious. Fearing for her safety in the unfamiliar area, she decided to seek help at the police station.

Police Action

Upon understanding the situation, the police contacted her family, who arrived at the Padri Bazar police station. After completing the necessary formalities, the young woman was safely handed over to her parents. Police officials confirmed that she was completely safe and no untoward incident occurred.

The incident, a late-night misadventure while visiting her boyfriend, has since sparked discussions across the locality.
