
In a shocking incident in Vasant Kunj North, South-West Delhi, a 21-year-old man, identified as Karan, was stabbed to death following an argument over asking for a matchstick to light a beedi. The police have launched a hunt for the accused.
Details of the Incident
According to DCP Amit Goyal, a PCR call was received around 11:40 PM on Tuesday reporting a stabbing at the JJ Bandhu Camp slums. Police rushed to the spot and found Karan critically injured. He was immediately taken to Fortis Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Karan, who lived in the JJ Bandhu Camp slums, reportedly went out for a walk with his younger brother Raju after dinner. A short while later, he returned home near the slum area, bleeding from a neck injury, and collapsed. Family members rushed him to the hospital, but he could not be saved.
Cause of the Dispute
Initial investigations reveal that the argument erupted when Karan asked some youths for a matchstick to light his beedi. In the altercation, he was attacked with a knife on his neck. A case has been registered, and police are conducting raids to apprehend the perpetrators.
