Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh: Addressing the 726th birth anniversary (Prakatotsav) of Jagadguru Ramānandācharya in Prayagraj, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp critique of opposition parties over their silence on violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. He warned that attempts to divide the Hindu community on the basis of caste, sect, or denomination could lead to widespread destruction, drawing parallels with the situation in Bangladesh.
Opposition’s Silence on Bangladesh Issue
CM Yogi remarked that those who claim to uphold secularism remain completely silent on the atrocities being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh. He quipped, “It seems as if someone has glued their mouths shut.” According to the CM, no candle marches or public protests have been organized to raise awareness about these incidents, sending a strong message of caution to all.
Call for Unity and Vigilance
The CM emphasized that those seeking to divide the Hindu community should not be allowed to prosper under any circumstances. He stated that if the community remains united and resolute, the future will belong to Sanatan Dharma. Yogi further asserted that a day will come when the flag of Sanatan Dharma will fly across the world, making it impossible for anyone to oppress Hindus, as is happening in Bangladesh.
Appreciation for the Saints and Religious Unity
Praising the unity of the saintly community, CM Yogi said, “When saints come together on one platform, their collective actions bear visible results. The grand Ram temple in Ayodhya is a testament to the dedication and penance of our saints.”
Announcement of Ramānandācharya Memorial and Temple
On this occasion, CM Yogi announced the construction of a memorial and temple dedicated to Jagadguru Ramānandācharya in Prayagraj. He highlighted the sacredness of the region, where the rivers Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati converge, describing it as a confluence of faith, justice, and knowledge. He also stressed the spiritual and social significance of the Triveni Sangam, stating that bathing there absolves physical, divine, and worldly sins.
Message of Social Unity Above Caste and Sect
The CM noted that Ramānandācharya, born in a time of societal division, worked through the Bhakti movement to unite society. At the program, all twelve disciples in the Ramānandācharya tradition were present on one platform. CM Yogi also lauded the main organizers, including Saint Jagadguru Satuā Baba, and welcomed all saints and devotees, emphasizing that Prayagraj embodies the soul of Sanatan culture. He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to enhancing its sanctity and glory.
