Woman Stages Protest Outside Live-In Partner’s Home in Jhansi With Her Daughters

Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh: A distressed woman in Jhansi, troubled by betrayal, staged a protest outside the home of her live-in partner with her two young daughters amid biting cold. She alleged that after a dispute with her husband, she was taken in by her lover along with her daughter, and was kept in a rented home as his live-in partner. During this period, the woman gave birth to another daughter. She claims that the man is now preparing to marry another woman.

The incident took place in Raniganj Mohalla under the Kotwali Mauranipur area. The woman claimed that her partner secretly got engaged to another woman and that she had informed the police about the matter.

Ongoing Legal Dispute With Husband
The woman married in 2021 and had a daughter. Later, disputes arose with her husband, leading her to file a legal case against him. During this period, a young man and his mother offered her support. The man promised marriage and accommodated her in a rented home, where both lived together. However, she alleges that the man misappropriated her jewelry and ₹70,000.

Abandoned on Republic Day
The woman stated that over the course of their relationship, she had another child with him. She discovered that her partner is now arranging a second marriage. On the night of 26 January, he allegedly abandoned her and her two daughters near the Mauranipur Railway Overbridge. Following this, she went to his residence and staged a protest outside his door with her children.
