SITAMARHI: In a shocking tale of love that defies social norms and age barriers, a 35-year-old married woman from Bhavadepur Got village in the Rega police station area of Sitamarhi has eloped for the second time with a 20-year-old local man. The unusual case has now reached the attention of the local police.

Trust Betrayed: From Shop to Romance
The husband, Manir Safi, had left his trusted young villager, Rizwan Ansari, in charge of his traditional bangle and glass shop while he traveled to Ludhiana. Unbeknownst to him, a romance developed between his wife, Savita Khatun, and the young man during his absence. By the time he returned home, the relationship had escalated, and within 10 days, the woman had run away with her lover for the second time.

Police Involvement and the Strange Turn of Events
Manir Safi filed a complaint at Rega police station, explaining that upon returning home on the morning of November 13, he found his wife missing and the house door open. Villagers informed him that Rizwan was hiding Savita. Following pressure from the husband, Rizwan admitted to keeping Savita at the house of his sister Chandni Khatun in Sitamarhi.

Manir retrieved his wife from the local police station on November 18, but she went missing again on the night of November 21. According to the husband, Rizwan and others may have hidden her either to marry her off or for other unknown motives. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.

Social Shock and Concern
The case has left the local community stunned, highlighting issues of trust, age disparity, and marital discord. Authorities are now working to ensure the woman’s safety and clarify the circumstances of her repeated elopement.
