Woman Killed by Train in Nawada; Shocking Video Goes Viral

Nawada, Bihar: A tragic incident occurred near Tilaiya station in Nawada district, where a woman walking on the railway tracks was fatally struck by a passenger train. The horrifying accident has sent shockwaves through the community, and a video of the incident has now gone viral on social media.

The deceased has been identified as Shakunti Devi, wife of Ramswaroop Yadav, a resident of Badi Pali village in Narhat block. The incident took place on December 18. According to reports, the extreme cold and possible fog reduced the woman’s ability to hear the approaching train. Despite the train driver repeatedly sounding the horn, Shakunti Devi did not move off the tracks and was tragically run over.

The most disturbing aspect of the incident is the video capturing the moment of the accident. It is believed that the footage was recorded either by a passenger on another train passing by or by a young person making a reel for social media. The video went viral on December 20, giving villagers and relatives a chilling realization of the accident’s gravity.

Dhananjay Kumar, the village head of Badi Pali, stated that while villagers were initially informed of the accident, seeing the video left everyone stunned. The footage has now circulated widely, sparking conversations throughout the region about railway safety and the tragic consequences of not exercising caution near train tracks.
