Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh: A shocking incident unfolded in Lucknow when a woman attacked police officers after being stopped during a beer party in a car. The incident occurred on the night of 10–11 November near Vasmundi Chowk, in the jurisdiction of Nakaa Hindola Police Station.
Beer Party Turns Violent
During a routine night patrol, Daroga Amjad Ali and his team noticed a car parked suspiciously, with a woman and three men consuming beer inside. When police questioned the occupants, the woman, later identified as Mansi Pandey, began verbally abusing the officers and threatened to strip them of their uniforms. She physically assaulted the officers, escalating the situation.
Female Officers Called to Control the Situation
To manage the situation, the police called female officers from the Pink Booth and Women’s Help Desk. Constables Rani Verma, Shashi Devi, Kiran, and Farheen Rizvi tried to restrain Mansi. In the struggle, Mansi bit Constables Kiran and Farheen Rizvi and grabbed Daroga Amjad Ali’s collar, attempting to tear his uniform. The woman was eventually subdued and taken to the police station, but continued abusing and assaulting officers there.
FIR Filed and Medical Examination Conducted
The police have taken Mansi Pandey and her three companions — Atul Joshi, Gaurav Shukla, and Shubham Patel — into custody. An FIR has been registered against all four based on Daroga Amjad Ali’s complaint. Injured officers and the accused underwent medical examinations at Balrampur Hospital. The incident report has been forwarded to senior police officials for further action.
Accused Linked to Film Industry
Preliminary investigation revealed that Mansi Pandey has previously worked in films as a local line producer. Police are currently interrogating the accused and her companions to ascertain the full details of the incident.
