Will Baba Siddiqui’s Murder Mystery Finally Be Solved? Mumbai Police to Question Anmol Bishnoi After Deportation; Zeeshan Siddiqui Demands Answers

Mumbai: More than a year after the assassination of senior NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, his alleged handler and gangster Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi is being deported to India from the United States. The development has revived hopes for clarity in the high-profile murder case. Baba Siddiqui’s son, Zeeshan Siddiqui, has welcomed the move and demanded that Anmol be interrogated specifically about his father’s killing.

Zeeshan: “He Must Be Questioned About My Father’s Murder”

Zeeshan Siddiqui said he had long been urging authorities to bring Anmol back to India. While he believes the U.S. delayed the deportation, he expressed relief that the process has now been completed.
He revealed that he received an email from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security informing him that Anmol had been removed from American soil on 18 November.

Anmol Bishnoi is suspected to have played a role in the 12 October 2024 assassination of Baba Siddiqui. According to the email, Anmol was officially deported after federal approval.

Anmol on NIA’s ‘Most Wanted’ List

Anmol, earlier detained in California, is listed among the National Investigation Agency’s “Most Wanted” criminals and carries a reward of ₹10 lakh.
His elder brother, Lawrence Bishnoi, is in jail but is accused of running a vast global crime syndicate from behind bars.

Investigators suspect that the three shooters involved in Baba Siddiqui’s murder were in direct communication with Anmol. His name has also surfaced in several major cases:

  • Firing outside Salman Khan’s Bandra home (April 14, 2024) – a crime he allegedly claimed responsibility for on Facebook
  • Murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala (2022) – in which his role has been repeatedly hinted
  • Multiple extortion and cross-border crime operations linked to the Bishnoi gang

How Baba Siddiqui Was Killed

The assassination took place in Mumbai’s Neelam Nagar area, outside the office of his son Zeeshan.
According to police reports:

  • Three armed assailants followed Baba Siddiqui
  • They opened fire, shooting him six times at close range
  • He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he succumbed to injuries within an hour

The killing shook Maharashtra’s political and security circles, leading to a nationwide hunt for those involved.

A Breakthrough on the Horizon?

With the deportation of Anmol Bishnoi, Mumbai Police and central agencies are expected to intensify questioning. Officials believe his interrogation could reveal critical links and possibly unravel the conspiracy behind the murder.

A major breakthrough in the case may now be closer than ever.
