Firozabad, January 12, 2026: The Firozabad police have cracked a gruesome murder case within 24 hours, involving the beheading of a man allegedly orchestrated by his wife and her lover. The main accused was injured in a police encounter, and all three conspirators have been arrested.
According to police, the wife, along with her lover and an accomplice, conspired to murder her husband by slitting his throat. After the murder, the victim’s head was disposed of in a borewell to conceal the crime. The arrested suspects include the wife, her lover Suraj, and his accomplice Salman. Suraj was injured during a police encounter and has been admitted to the district hospital.
The incident came to light on January 11, 2026, when a severed head was discovered near a tubewell in Jakhai village under Narikhi police station jurisdiction. The shocking discovery sent waves of panic through the local community. The victim was later identified as Saurabh, a former village headman.
During the investigation, the police recovered the murder weapon, the victim’s mobile phone, a motorcycle, two 315-bore pistols, and live cartridges from the accused. Police investigations revealed that Saurabh’s wife had an illicit relationship with Suraj, which led to the premeditated murder.
SP City Ravishankar Prasad confirmed that the trio conspired and executed the crime, separating the victim’s head to hide evidence by dumping it into a borewell.
