Barabanki: A shocking case has come to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Barabanki district, where a woman, pushed to the edge by years of abuse, allegedly killed her husband with the help of her minor son. Police have now revealed disturbing details behind the murder that has left two children effectively orphaned.
Body Found in Mango Orchard
On the morning of 18 November, villagers discovered the body of 45-year-old Rajmal in a mango orchard, about 200 meters from his home in Meen Nagar village under Fatehpur Kotwali. His throat bore deep injury marks, blood was oozing from his mouth, and signs of scuffle were visible around the spot.
Police registered a case based on a complaint filed by his brother, Lalji Yadav, and launched an investigation.
Alcohol, Abuse, and Pressure for Immoral Acts
Superintendent of Police Arpit Vijayvargiya stated that Rajmal, addicted to alcohol and often short of money, used to force his wife Siyawati into immoral acts with other men. She and her son strongly resisted, which led to frequent violent fights in the family.
On 16 November, Rajmal reportedly abused and assaulted his wife again. Pushed beyond endurance, Siyawati and her son decided to end the cycle of abuse permanently.
22 Years of Marriage, Two Children, and a Deadly Plan
The couple had been married for 22 years and had one son and one daughter.
According to the police, on the night of 17 November, when Rajmal—heavily drunk—went towards the fields to relieve himself, Siyawati and her minor son followed him in the dark.
They allegedly pushed him to the ground; the son held his father’s hands while Siyawati strangled him to death.
Too Intoxicated to Resist
Police said that due to extreme intoxication, Rajmal was unable to defend himself.
On Thursday, the police arrested 43-year-old Siyawati, while her minor son has been taken into protective custody.
