Her centre, ranked second in the state of Jharkhand, has earned accolades for providing affordable medicines to rural communities, bringing her and her region newfound recognition and pride.

Rakhi Sinha runs a Jan Aushadhi Kendra in Charhi, which has been recognized as the second-best in Jharkhand. Out of ten state-selected centres, hers stood out for its honesty, transparency, and commitment to public service. Upon hearing the news, the Charhi community celebrated her achievement. Speaking about the honour, Sinha said, “This recognition is not just mine. It belongs to all the villagers who have benefitted from affordable and quality medicines. The Jan Aushadhi Kendra has transformed my life, making me self-reliant and giving me a respected place in society.” She expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the initiative, which enabled her to serve her community effectively.
Affordable Medicines Transform Rural Health
Locals note that Sinha’s centre has brought a revolutionary change in healthcare access for rural families. Medicines that previously cost thousands of rupees are now available at up to 75% lower prices, providing significant relief to both poor and middle-class households.
