Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan: A shocking crime in Sri Ganganagar has left the local community stunned. A young woman named Anju allegedly conspired with her lover Sanju and his friends to murder her husband Ashish, just three months after their wedding. Following the revelation, Anju’s family members have demanded the death penalty for her.
Marriage and Motive
Ashish (27), a private tutor from Kerawala Mandi, had married Anju on October 30, 2025. According to police investigations, Anju was unable to forget her former lover Sanju, and in her obsessive attachment, she planned to kill her husband.
False Story to Mislead Police
After the murder on January 30, Anju was admitted to the hospital and initially claimed to police that robbers in a car had attacked her husband. However, officers noticed that Anju’s body bore no injuries, raising suspicion immediately.
Post-Mortem Reveals Chilling Truth
The post-mortem report revealed that Ashish had died due to strangulation, exposing Anju’s story as fabricated. Police investigations then uncovered the full details of the conspiracy. Ashish’s family is in shock, with his mother struggling to accept the loss, and his father recounting the tragic sequence from wedding celebrations to his son’s murder.
Three Months of Deception
Family members described how Anju had maintained a “cultured and dutiful” image during the three months of marriage, leaving no hint of her murderous intentions. The family, consisting of 16 members, had no prior suspicion of her plan.
Premeditated Murder
According to police, on the day of the murder, Anju lured Ashish away from the house under the pretext of a walk. About 50–60 meters from the house, her lover Sanju and his friends Badaal and Rocky were lying in wait in the bushes. In this well-planned ambush, Ashish was killed.
Family Demands Justice
Anju’s uncle Ravi said, “We cannot believe that our own daughter caused such a tragedy. If this is true, all those involved must be given the death penalty.” Police are continuing their investigation and have indicated that all accused, including Anju and her accomplices, could face strict legal action.
