Weather Update for February 22, 2026: Dry Skies, No Alerts, but Rapid Change Expected in Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is set to experience stable weather conditions on February 22, 2026, with no major weather systems or alerts. However, meteorologists predict that the state’s weather may change rapidly over the next 48 hours, with temperatures rising and isolated light showers possible in some districts.

Rainfall in the Last 24 Hours

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), rainfall was recorded in 21 districts over the past 24 hours. The heaviest rainfall occurred in Khachrod and Khargone, where precipitation exceeded half an inch. Other districts reporting rainfall include Ratlam, Ujjain, Agar, Shajapur, Dewas, Jhabua, Dhar, Barwani, Khandwa, Indore, Sehore, Rajgarh, Bhopal, Raisen, Vidisha, Sagar, Damoh, Jabalpur, Chhatarpur, and Panna.

Some areas in Agar, Indore, Sehore, and Katni also experienced strong winds and dust squalls during the period.

Forecast for February 22

  • Weather: Generally clear with light clouds in most areas.
  • Rain: No major rainfall expected; however, light showers may occur in seven districts, including Singrauli and Shahdol.
  • Temperature: Daytime highs may rise slightly; maximum in Bhopal 28°C, minimum 14°C.
  • Winds: Normal speed expected.

Meteorologist Dr. Arun Sharma stated that while the next two days will remain mostly dry and stable, a new weather system forming from February 23 could affect some border districts, bringing light rainfall. Over the next 48 hours, maximum temperatures may increase by 3–5°C, giving a taste of March-like warmth in the last week of February.

  • Khargone: 32.6°C
  • Seoni: 31.6°C
  • Khandwa: 31.5°C
  • Narsinghpur: 31.0°C

Residents are advised to enjoy the clear skies but remain prepared for the upcoming rapid temperature rise and isolated showers over the next two days.
